This is a very successful year for IBISKA with many new contract awards in Canada and in the US across all of our service areas.
Sep 2006 Cyber Protection Supply Arrangement (CPSA) Procurement Announcement
 

IBISKA and Elytra Enterprises are pleased to announce that the Elytra-IBISKA JV (Joint Venture) was selected as part of an exclusive list of vendors to supply IT Security Services to the Federal Government under the CPSA. The Elytra-IBISKA JV is proud to be recognized for its expertise and capability to deliver IT Security Services under the following Work Streams:

  • Work Stream 2 - Comprehensive IT Security Risk Management Consulting Services; and
  • Work Stream 3 - Skilled IT Security Services

The Elytra-IBISKA JV offers a full range of security services and competitive rates for all categories and is ready to meet the need for both individual expertise and for security teams with a broad range of experience. We look forward to working directly with our many regular clients in the Canadian Government and with Security Consultants in the Ottawa region.
 
Jun 2006 $10M - Project Management Contract (PWGSC)
  IBISKA wins a contract with the Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) of the PWGSC, to provide Project Management services for ITSB and its clients. The contract is valued at over $10Million for the initial period of 3 years with an additional 2 optional years. Consultants to work under this contract are Senior Project Managers with PMP and ITIL certifications and Project Managers with over 10 years of experience in the management of large-scale projects. We will be working closely with ITSB and PWGSC in support of this contract's on-going requirements.
   
Jun 2006 Expansion in Denver, CO
IBISKA was awarded a contract for a client in Denver, Colorado to help engineer, deploy and support a new enterprise VoIP and wireless data solution.
 
Jun 2006 $1.9M - Senior Programmer Analysts Contract (GoC)
  IBISKA wins a contract to provide the services of Senior Programmer Analysts and Testers in support of Government of Canada applications and systems. This contract is valued at over 1.9 Million and covers services for a period of 4 years with 3 optional years. We are looking forward to working with senior individuals with over 8 years of experience in programming with C/C++ in UNIX environments for on-going requirements under this contract.
 
Jun 2006 Network Engineering and Support Contract (DND)
  IBISKA is awarded a contract for the provision of network engineering and support services to DND over a period of 5 years.
 
May 2006 Requirement and Specifications Development (SDC)
  Social Development Canada chooses IBISKA for the preparation of requirements and specifications for IP Collaboration applications;

For identification of IT Security requirements and specifications for IP communications and security perimeter services;
 
Apr 2006 PM for IT Shared Services Implementation (GoC)
  Project Management in support of IT Shared Services implementation across GoC departments as part of Wave One of the Service Transfer Phase.
 
Mar 2006 C&A Package Project (DND)
  IBISKA is selected to deliver a certification and accreditation package for the Department of National Defence including TRA, SOS and preparation of the final C&A submission.
 
Feb 2006 Network Design and Implementation (City Of Ottawa)
  IBISKA is selected by the City of Ottawa to provide network design and implementation services.
 
Feb 2006 Application Architecture (HC)
  Health Canada chooses IBISKA for application architecture and project management services
 
Jan 2006 $2.3M - Wireline and Wireless Network Engineering and Integration (U.S.)
  IBISKA has been awarded a $2.3M contract for Wireline and Wireless Network Integration and Network Engineering services for a major vendor in the US. (VoIP, wireline, wireless and enterprise systems).
 
Jan 2006 IT Security Services for MITS Compliance Requirements
  IBISKA wins several contracts for the provision of IT Security services to PWGSC in support of MITS compliance requirements including systems certification and accreditation (C&A).

June 2009 IBISKA raised $5,000.00 for Christie Lake Kids at 14th Annual Enbridge Canoe for Kids Fundraiser
  IBISKA once again was one of the top three fundraisers for the Canoe for Kids event to raise money to send economically disadvantaged kids to Christie Lake Camp. The IBISKA Paddlers paddled hard in the water but paddled even harder to raise $5,000.00 towards the overall total of $76,000.00 in pledges alone. The organizers are still tabulating proceeds from the silent auction but expect the final revenue to be over $100,000! We would not have been able to meet our goal without the generous donations made by our colleagues, associates and friends!
 
June 2008 IBISKA Participates in Enbridge Canoe for Kids in Support of Christie Lake Camp
  On June 7th, IBISKA participated in the 13th Annual Enbridge Canoe for Kids event in support of Christie Lake Kids Camp. The IBISKA Paddlers may not have won the race but we managed to paddle into second place in fundraising. With the help of the IBISKA corporate donation, and guided by team captain Cathy Loosley, our team raised $3,615.00. The event as a whole raised over $86,000, exceeding the target of $85,000. A great time was had by all and most importantly, we were able to send 3 more kids to Christie Lake Kids Camp.
 
July 2006 "La maison d'amite" golf tournament;
  This year again, IBISKA is a major sponsor to the golf tournament in support of a local organization providing emergency shelter, counselling and support to women and children subjected to family violence. The tournament will be held on July 24th and will help raise funds for the shelter.
 
June 2006 Canoe for Kids (Honorary Paddler);
  IBISKA gained "Honorary Paddler" status by supporting Cathy Loosley's fundraising effort and active participation in the Canoe for Kids annual fundraiser event. This annual event helps raise funds for the Christie Lake Kids summer camp. Cathy was successful in collecting over $1,200 in support of the camp programs. Each spring, teams of 6 paddlers collect pledges and race down the water at Mooney's Bay in the canoes. Every dollar raised from the event goes towards sending economically disadvantaged kids to camp.
 


KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

  • New recruiting office for US operations: IBISKA opened a new office in Plano, TX to support recruiting activities for our US operations.

  • SANS Institute mentorship seminars: Once again this year, IBISKA has hosted the SANS Institute mentorship seminars led by Wayne Penny, a long time consultant of IBISKA. The seminar was well attended and lasted over a period of 6 weeks. The mentorship program helps individuals who are seeking GIAC certifications under the SANS institute, get prepared for the exam.

  • IT Service Management Framework: Janet Moore and Cathy Loosley, key members of IBISKA's account/consulting management team, have joined the IT Service Management Framework (itSMF) organization, as active members in the Canadian Chapter. The goal is for IBISKA to keep abreast of new developments in "Best Practices" and enhance our services to clients in the areas of total quality management of IT services. This non-profit organization is an internationally recognized and independent organization dedicated to IT Service Management and is responsible for the support and maintenance of the ITIL "Best Practices" framework.

  • Engineering and Technical Support for Defense Systems: IBISKA has renewed its corporate membership of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and has attended events, seminars and presentations offered through this association.

    The goal is to enable our account/consulting managers to enhance their appreciation of the Defense sector's challenges in the area of IT and IT Security services. IBISKA is a Supply Arrangement Holder for Engineering and Technical Support Services for Defense systems and Equipment managed by the Director Generals of Land, Maritime, and Aerospace (Tri-service EPM) within the Department of National Defense. We look forward to working with senior individuals who hold a PMP certification and/or and Engineering Degree and have extensive experience with Defence Systems related projects.

    Through this SA and other contracts with the Department of National Defense, IBISKA has been approved and awarded a Certificate of Registration under Canada's Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
